Extreme Cowboy Alberta is pleased to host an Obstacle and Horsemanship Clinic with two excellent clinicians! 

The clinicians running this clinic are 

Nicole Hirsekorn from Starwalkers 

Nicole runs a training, breeding and lesson program at her barn west of Leduc. She has been riding since she was 8 when her parents bought two Tennessee Walking Horses. Three years later she began showing and ever since has been actively involved in promoting the Tennessee Walking Horse throughout Alberta. She has numerous wins including several year end high point awards, two TWHBEA Youth Superior Versatility Titles, and one TWHBEA Adult Supreme Versatility Title. In 2014, she was looking for a new challenge and started competing in Extreme Cowboy Racing. Her passion is teaching. She loves introducing riders to the smooth gaited Tennessee Walking Horse and the fun and exciting sport of Extreme Cowboy Racing. She offers lessons to riders of all levels. In addition to her regular lessons she also offers weekly obstacle classes and the occasional playday where riders can work on obstacles on their own. Nicole has coached several young riders who have been very successful in Extreme Cowboy Racing. In 2018, two of her students competed at the EXCA World Championships and both placed top 10 in their age category.


Christina Hambrook from Brayco Stables 

Christina Hambrook, is the owner operator of Brayco stables just north of Cochrane Alberta. She prides herself on teaching horsemanship to every age or level rider. She has been teaching riding lessons for 25 years and training horses since the age of 12. She was involved in 4-H growing up and is now currently the equine coach and leader of the springbank rawhides 4-H club, she was stampede show rider for two year and then a Stampede Ranch girl for 8years. She has been competing in Extreme Cowboy racing for 6 years at the pro level and loves the sport!

Entries for this clinic will be limited to 12 riders. Riders of all levels are welcome to attend this clinic to improve your horses confidence on obstacles or refine obstacles that you have been struggling with. The clinicians will also cover general Horsemanship. The clinic will cover body and speed control of horse and rider, improving your scores and course strategy for riders that are already competing in the sport. Introducing obstacles to horse and how to get started in the sport for riders new to the sport.
